Dad's Square Foot Garden

My Dad and I would spend weekend mornings watching Square Foot Gardening on TV. That was thirty plus years ago. He swore by the method and the garden was always great.

My Mom recently found his copy of Square Foot Gardening Book. It is so tattered and worn but I am so happy to have it.

This year I am trying my hand at the raised bed design. Hope my Guardian Gardener is looking over me.

I too have used the square foot garden method to grow vegetables and have found a lot of success with it.

So often when we plant vegetables we over-plant ending up with too many vegetables that we can either eat or waste when we thin them out. With square foot gardening you never have either of those problems.
