Extending egg laying in winter months

The reason hens slow down egg production in the winter is the days are shorter.

By extending their day use a light, bright enough that a newspaper could barely be read and a timer is needed. Set it for an hour before morning light and 2 hours after sunset. By doing this it will definitely increase your winter egg production.
