First time i found your site mainly as its harvest time here in johannesburg and I have had poor results from my gooseberry plants. We do have a cape gooseberry but its a an orange berry in a lantern type sheath , like some of the dried flowers.
English gooseberries are are rarity but I HAVE SEEN THEM GROWING HERE AND I LIKE GOOSEBERRY PIE so I found your site, I also brew wines and have just made a water purifier,also to make some good spirits. I found some great moonshine and mampoer recipes on the net.
I found your site very informative, what a wondrous wealth of information Thanks a lot
