Jugs of Ice for keeping Camping Food Cold

When my family goes camping I we have a cooler packed full of items, I use half gallon milk jugs I save.

I fill each about three inches from the top with water. Once they melt we have water to drink. They keep longer that bags of ice cubes and just one takes almost two days to melt completely in our cooler.
