Wool and Cotton Crafts Online Supply Store

Wool crafts and cotton crafts have started to come back into fashion over the years with many learning to knit or crochet for the first time.  Learning to spin has also become a hobby for some, and during my lifetime I learned to crochet first, at the age of 10, learned to knit at 15, and finally learned to spin when I was in my early 30s.

When I was in my mid-20s I took up another old wool craft, and that was tapestry work. However, as much as I liked to work in wool for this, I eventually moved over to silk cottons.

Like most, I only practice these crafts during the cooler months but do enjoy all of these, from time to time, some more than others.

Of course, now I have more hobbies on the horizon, and at this stage in my life I would really like to learn how to weave. However, every time I look at how to set up a loom, even a simple loom, I tuck that thought at the very back of my mind, once again, as it just looks incredibly complicated!

However, I have also, over the years indulged in patchwork and quilting, once making a double bed quilt and pillow cases which became a labor of love over the weeks and months, but I finally got it finished.

However, I learned the hard way, when after a year of washing, the cotton fabric that I had bought wasn't very good, and soon the bedspread started to fray and come away at the seams. A lot of hard work for nothing.

So, when you make your next craft project, make sure that you are only using the best materials you can afford. Without good materials, you run the risk of wasting both time, and money.
