Sick hens - puffing out and not going in to roost

We have 7 hens some of which are coming up to 2.5 yrs. A couple of them have started to act a little weird and are just standing all puffed out with their necks tucked into their bodies.

They are still walking about a little bit but we have been picking them up to put them in their coop at the end of the day as they have not been taking themselves up to roost.

Should we be doing this or just leave them outside? Any ideas what is wrong with them?
