spinsters

spinsters

by Spinner not a spinster
(usa)

I know the name spinster was what the unmarried aunt would be called in another era. Now many young people have taken up the craft so why not use an updated picture of such a person under Country Crafts. Spinning wheels have come a long way as well.

Yes, they certainly have, and as an avid spinner, and happily married for nearly 30 years I am no spinster. :)

We have another picture on the site on our page with detailed instructions on how to spin with a much younger lady at the wheel. However, I still like the elderly grandma and for now she stays.

Thanks for your comments and opinion. We do so appreciate it when we hear from our readers.

Regards
Kathryn
