Caponizing Kit doesn't work

I recently purchased a caponizing kit from NASCO Co. I find the spreader doesn't work properly, as the ribs slip off so the job can´t be done.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I am sorry to hear that you have had problems with the NASCO caponizing kit. You would not be the first to complain about whether the tools work properly or not.

There is an alternative, and that is the Weitlander retractor that can be used more effectively. They can be found on eBay.
