Cooking off the Grid

Cooking off the Grid

by Gail Fleming

In scrolling through your site I see little or no information about wood buring cookstoves. Heat your Home, Heat your Hearth, Heat your Bath. Come Home to Comfort. I'm 72 years old have been living 'Off The Grid' for 32 years. Heat and cook with a Gem Pac from www.comforttimestove.ca. More hot water than I can ever use.

Hi Gail,

All written contributions gratefully received if you would like to tell us more about your life off the grid. After 32 years of doing so, you would certainly have a lot of experience in off-grid living.

With regards to cooking we have written two articles. One on hay box cooking and another on woodstoves. These articles have been up for a while now.

There is a search button on every page. With over 500 pages of information, this is a large site, so you can easily miss something if it is not searched for.

Here are the urls:

All you need to know about Woodstoves
