Thank you for the impressive information. Looking through all the "growing Strawberries" articles - this was the most covered article I ever read.

Where in South Africa can I buy runners or plants to start growing strawberries for commercial uses. I want to buy 1500 - 2500 plants.

Is there a market for fresh strawberries in South Africa. I recently moved from Botswana to Zeerust in North West Province and want to start growing strawberries as a business.

If you have any information regarding this, it will be very helpful.

Sorry for the late reply. I did try and research some commercial strawberry suppliers for you in South Africa, but came up blank.

My only other suggestion would be to either approach one of the bigger nurseries or contact the Department of Agriculture.
