Heat and Pour

Heat and Pour

Hello the house. I made some heat and pour glycerin soap and it dried very hard and does not lather very much but appears to clean. Is this normal for this type soap? I bought the kit from Hobby Lobby everything there but a complete recipe.

Heat and Pour Soap Brittle and No Lather
by: Anonymous

It sounds as if you heated up your mixture at too high a temperature. When you do that with melt and pour soap you normally end up with a brittle soap that also affects the lather of your soap.
