Sweet rice - not pudding

Sweet rice - not pudding

by Mary Crawmer
(Hastings, MN USA)

When I was a kid in York County, they served a sweet rice dish in the cafeteria at our grade school (this was a LONG time ago - the late 50s!). It wasn't a rice pudding but I'm sure it was rice, eggs, milk, sugar (and I don't know what else might have been in it, but it wasn't spicy and it didn't have raisins as a rice pudding would) and it was always served with string beans and potatoes cooked with ham.

Does anybody have this recipe or know what I'm talking about?

I'd love to be able to make it and if you have it, would you post the recipe to this page?

THANK YOU ALL.

I went to school in the 60's and remember this rice as well. So anyone who has it, it would truly be appreciated. I love using old recipes that bring back memories!!!

Thank you in advance
